Writing this on a a14 5G. No the ui is not core as you mentioned. I like that it has a sd card and headphone jack. If you get a phone with storage issues good luck but with a sd card I just pop in a new one. Headphones offer better quality and they can’t be lost. I am retired now but I used to work for a telephone company and I met with a few samsung reps over the years. Interesting talking to them to get the inside scoop.

Cheap smartphones have nothing to do with "tech illiteracy". The most tech savy and expensive smartphone I ever used was back when I was at university and it proved to be an essential tool. As I growp up, I buy cheaper and cheaper phones, while I can more easily afford high end ones. Why? Because it’s virtually obsolete. There’s nothing I can’t do with my dad’s Moto G54 phone for my work for example and it makes me look stupid that I have a more expensive one. Tech literacy means using Tik Tok and Instagram and taking cool photos? Cause that’s the use of the I-phones and the "Galaxy"s of the world right now. You see 50 to 60 year old businessmen flashing their 2000$ phones who barely know how to unlock them. Please
I don’t consider the A Series "cheap", i rather call it affordable. I actualy think we kind of lost all relations in terms of prices these days. If i buy a smartphone for like 400$, then thats definitely not cheap. It is a huge investment and just because there is some phone out there that costs over a 1000 bucks which some hipsters buy, doesnt mean im having a cheap phone.
This series of Samsungs also has the most issues too!!!

im user of a13, my biggest praise to this phone is the battery life, like wth that phone got nuclear powered battery or what, i barely need to charge it loll
I would still choose a Nothing CMF Phone over this anytime, which is similar price with no adverts and more attention to detail. And is not Samsung. I`m tired seeing Samsung and Iphone everywhere is like everybody having the same car or same face.
As a proud ex-owner of the galaxy A12, that buddy was my first phone and it fell in a stream of dirty water and still worked for a good amount of time afterwards

I work at a phone store in the US. The A15 and A16 are the android phones I’ve sold the most of. Many reasons are mentioned in this video.
I don’t know why it sells well anywhere else, but here in Malaysia, if you subscribe to a 24 month contract for Rm80 (~$18) a month, you get the phone for rm199 (~ $44). So yea. Its a super cheap Samsung.

My A14 is the worst phone i’ve had in my life – would not recomend it to my worst enemy.
a samsung fan. watched from end to end. like valuing something not apple.
I had an S20FE, ended up giving that to my mom, I got an A32, used it, she broke the S20FE, I gave her the A32, then I bought an A05. The A05 is doing very good. If it had an ultra wide camera that would be helpful, but that’s okay, that’s my only dislike about the phone.
At times it may slow down when changing apps, or turning it on too fast, not really anything odd, it’s a basic phone and does the job great. All I need in a to make calls, and snap a few pictures here and there. The "pro" mode on the A05 can take really nice pictures, with up to 30 seconds of exposure which is awesome! I took a nice photo of the northern lights with it.
